Behold a new track “The Changing Fortunes of Time” as a glimpse into Cataphract’s upcoming demo Prairies of Forgetfulness which is available via pre-order within. This promotional release foreshadows an upcoming full length album in the not so distant horizon, and is the first spell cast since 2021’s “Coercion and Clairvoyance”. This offering illustrates a new trek made into the dismal lore of USBM to call up the long lost dreamscapes of Leviathan, Rhinocervs and Black Twilight Circle while also paying homage to the legendary hordes of Les Legions Noire and various evil black metal sects of Eastern Europe of decades past. Although a continuance of so many victorious traditions, this short release memorializes them through the seldom used lens of the central stronghold of midwestern USBM legions.
